Zebra Technologies KR203
Zebra Technologies announced the new additions to its KR family of kiosk printers. The KR203 Kiosk Receipt Printer is an addition to the 3-inch product line-up. It utilises Zebra’s host-based printing technology, which takes advantage of a PC’s memory and processing power to offer a cost-effective solution.
“Asian customers have unique needs that this solution will meet,” said Andrew Tay, president, Zebra Technologies, Asia Pacific. “Our fast growing markets demand high quality prints, minimal operational downtime and low maintenance. The in-built self-checking mechanisms will lower operational costs, assuring customers of a seamless self-service experience for the end-users which will also raise customer satisfaction.”
“The KR203 was developed to provide our customers with a cost effective printer for the mid-price market segment,” said Michael Eneberg, Kiosk product manager. “The combination of Zebra best in-class technology together with increased affordability gives customers an affordable kiosk printer, but still provides the reliability required in self-service applications.”
The KR203 is designed to print receipts, and information from unattended self-service kiosks. It provides a cost-effective solution that includes many features available only on more expensive high-end printers - features such as Zebra’s patented Looping Presenter, integrated cutter and pull detector, which help prevent paper jams.
Its compact design makes it easy to integrate into space-restricted self-service applications. It also provides reduced intervention features that minimise the need for attention and upkeep. These important features include status monitoring alerts to ensure the kiosk is operational and serving customers. It also accommodates a large 10” roll of media reducing the number of roll changes and in return lowering the total cost of ownership.
