Zebra Announces Marine Logistics Conference

Zebra Enterprise Solutions (ZES), a division of Zebra Technologies, has announced details for Solutions World 2010, the eighth biennial conference focused on the latest technology advancements in marine terminal operations and logistics. Formerly known as Navis World, the user-conference is renamed Zebra Enterprise Solutions World and will be held September 26-29, 2010, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

More than 300 customers, partners and industry experts from around the world are expected to attend the conference, which will offer more than 60 sessions on topics like asset visibility and security, and best practices for managing logistics, assets, inventory and cargo. In addition, ZES will unveil several new marine terminal operations technologies including, Navis General Cargo and ZES Maritime Telematics.

“We are thrilled to build off Navis World’s 16 years of success and re-launch the event under the Zebra umbrella as Zebra Enterprise Solutions World,” said Richard Harrison, managing director of maritime at Zebra Enterprise Solutions. “Since the formation of ZES based on the acquisitions of Navis, WhereNet, proveo and Multispectral Solutions, we can now bring an even greater depth of insight, integrated products and tools to conference attendees.”

Event supporters Motorola and APS Technology will be present at the conference as gold-level sponsors. And ZES partners and vendors including ABB Crane Technology, AECOM, DRS Technologies, Konecranes, LXE, Sattel, TBA and TMEIC-GE will be exhibitors at the event.
