Singapore-based logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) company YCH Group has announced that it will start operating in Vietnam. The company will also develop a DistriPark in Binh Duong Province, which is just 20 km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
The US$20 million investment, jointly undertaken by the company and Protrade
Corporation, will cater to the supply chain requirements of industry clusters from electronics manufacturing to fast-moving consumer goods.
The 6.9 hectare YCH-Protrade DistriPark will be built in two phases with a final capacity of more than 50,000 pallets. In line with the former’s commitment to ensuring all its new facilities and equipment are environmentally friendly, the facility will meet the requirements for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, an internationally recognised US based certification which covers six key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection, indoor environmental
quality and innovation in design.
YCH will next consider to establish similar DistriParks across Vietnam to offer a more comprehensive supply chain network to serve MNCs that are operating in Vietnam.
