Y3 Technologies Awarded ISO 28000: 2007 Certification

Singapore-based supply chain management (SCM) application software and technology provider Y3 Technologies has received the ISO 28000: 2007 Certification. The certification recognizes the application and implementation of a stringent security management system for ensuring the most secure information flow of the company’s end-to-end supply chain solutions.

“Our achievement of the ISO 28000: 2007 is a key step towards realizing a more secure supply chain of integrated physical, information and financial flows. Information technology is an integral part of the supply chain management process, and securing the information flow adds an important layer of security as this goes beyond the physical flow of goods. With this certification, our customers can be confident that the highest standard of security is being practiced to protect the confidentiality of critical information, ensuring the integrity of the supply chain,” said James Loo Wai Kheong, Chief Operating Officer of Y3 Technologies.

The ISO 28000: 2007 standard, awarded by certifying body Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, is an international supply chain security management system standard developed specifically to offer SCM providers security-based frameworks and processes to assure that the supply chain is secure. It integrates the process-based approach of ISO's management system standards, including the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and requirement for continual improvement, as well as the risk management elements of ISO 14001.
