TNT RECOGNIZED FOR HIGH SECURITY

Garnering seven awards at November's TAPA1 Asia Security Conference in Singapore, TNT was singled out for going over and beyond TAPA's truck and freight security requirements on its Asia Road Network (ARN), air network and other facilities across the region. Earlier this year, TNT was the first in the industry to implement the Level One TAPA TSR standard and requirements for its ARN operations between Singapore and Thailand. Coupled with its TAPA FSR certifi cation, TNT is thus the first operator to offer a complete, integrated TAPAcertified logistics network.

Onno Boots, regional managing director, TNT Southeast Asia and India said, "At TNT, we take a very serious stance towards security. As an express integrator, we want to ensure that the integrity of our customers' goods is preserved from point of origin to destination. We constantly look ahead of the game to anticipate the needs of our customers and pro-actively cooperate with industry partners and governmental authorities on supply chain security. We are delighted to receive such a brace of awards. It is a clear indication that we are leading in the field of integrated security solutions."

Coinciding with its latest awards win, TNT also announced the appointment of a new regional head of security, Fredric Hultman. An industry veteran, Hultman has more than 20 years in the law enforcement and security field. His experience includes overseeing the security operations of another major express delivery company, and a global telecommunications business.

Hultman has been active in designing, implementing and overseeing the security systems in several emerging markets, which are said to have dramatically reduced supply chain losses in a short time span. His new position at TNT makes him responsible for the security of all operations across Southeast Asia and India.
