Swisslog Awarded Contract by HCF

Hangzhou Cigarette Factory has commissioned Swisslog to design and implement a facility featuring automated production process logistics.

The latter will be in charge of the design and realization of the site located in Hangzhou, 175 km southwest of Shanghai. The logistics for the cut tobacco production process will cover the transport and storage of the tobacco leaves as well as their blending as required per brand.

It will also include two high-bay warehouses accommodating over 10,000 pallet locations. Swisslog will implement its own software products –WarehouseManager and AutomationManager as well as install its conveyors and stacker cranes.
