Swisslog Acquires Light Goods Logistics Specialist

Swisslog has strengthened its capabilities in the area of light goods logistics, via the acquisition of EVOmatic Engineering Solutions.

The latter is based in Thalheim near Wels (Austria) and specializes in automated technologies such as miniload cranes, load handling devices or shuttle systems. “The material handling technologies of EVOmatic will bolster our competitiveness in the area of light goods logistics. The acquisition is part of our strategy of expanding the solutions portfolio in high-growth business areas,” says Daniel Fink, head of Swisslog’s Warehouse and Distribution Solutions division.
