SDV Manages Spare Parts Logistics for Singapore Airlines

SDV, a brand of Bollore Logistics, has announced it is engaged in a contract to handle Singapore Airlines’ spare parts logistics activities. For the contract that will run for over seven years, 27,000 square meters of space will be managed in Singapore by a collaboration of 120 staff executing 90,000 inventory transactions a month. Major activities are receipts, inspections, storage, goods issue, deliveries, shipping, quality inspection and record maintenance. SDV will also provide associated transportation services, including deliveries on tarmac and 24/7 operations.

According to SDV, the contract further strengths its position as a leader in services provided to the aerospace industry. Its expertise is based on a worldwide network of specialists and platforms situated close to airport maintenance areas and covers the upstream and downstream supply chain, including the management of spare parts flows, which is driven by the objective of reducing repair cycles
