Samsung SDS to Offer Reva Systems' RFID Infrastructure
Reva Systems has announced that Samsung SDS will utilize Reva TAP appliances to deliver accurate, manageable RFID solutions for customers in Korea and other Asian markets.
"RFID is a powerful tool that many of our clients are looking to leverage," said Shim Yoon, vice president of Samsung SDS. "We've helped customers in several industries build business cases and pilot RFID technology for process improvement with excellent results, but many companies are reluctant to move past the pilot stage because of cost, accuracy and management concerns. Reva's RFID infrastructure platform addresses these issues, transforming pilots into successful production implementations that are reliable and cost effective for our customers."
"Samsung SDS is a recognized leader providing innovative IT solutions in Korea and beyond," said Satoshi Shiba, Reva vice-president of Asia Pacific and Japan. "The network approach and edge processing capabilities of Reva TAPs provide a key component to the RFID architecture Samsung SDS has recommended for some time. This is a natural partnership. The reach and expertise of Samsung SDS combined with Reva's technological advances and strong product capabilities will ensure valuable solutions for regional customers."
Reva TAPs are purpose-built RFID Network Infrastructure appliances that provide RFID device control, data processing and infrastructure applications. TAPs install at a facility level to optimally manage the operations of RFID readers and other equipment from many leading providers, collect the raw tag data, process the data for accuracy, run applications at the edge when local workflow or procedures are required and then pass only relevant RFID information to enterprise applications and repositories. Reva also provides a set of enterprise RFID management tools which users rely on to remotely operate RFID infrastructure and devices across global sites.
