ProLogis Leases Distribution Space in Japan

ProLogis has signed two lease agreements during the second quarter of 2009 totaling 200,000 square feet (18,600 sq meters) for distribution space at ProLogis Parc Zama I in Japan.

"We are pleased to announce continued lease activity at ProLogis Parc Zama I, especially considering we just completed construction of the building at the end of June," said Mike Yamada, president of Japan for ProLogis. "The distribution facility has many energy-efficient systems – including a photovoltaic array and a state-of-the-art seismic isolation structure – and is in a prime location with convenient access to the greater Tokyo and greater Nagoya areas."

The transactions included leases with: SEI Logistics Network Co, a Japanese third-party logistics provider, which leased approximately 134,000 square feet (12,500 sq meters); and Kawataki Co, a household goods company in Japan, which leased approximately 66,000 square feet (6,100 sq meters).
