Panalpina Opens Jaipur Branch In India

Panalpina further expands into north India by opening an office in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Rajasthan State and especially Jaipur, which is being developed as a special economic zone, is home to many existing and potential Panalpina customers.

Jaipur, also called the “Pink City”, has a large number of companies that export construction material, automotive products, handicrafts, jewelry and carpets. It plays an important role in the company’s global growth strategy.

“Panalpina has a very ambitious growth strategy for India and we plan to expand our services by listening to our customers. In our annual Customer Satisfaction Survey 2011, Jaipur was nominated by a majority of our customers as a preferred location where they wanted Panalpina to have its own office. The Jaipur branch has been opened to meet increased customer demands and to strengthen Panalpina’s position as one of the prominent supply chain and logistics solutions providers in India. Jaipur represents an enormous opportunity for Panalpina because it boasts a massive target customer base. The city is being developed as a multiproduct special economic zone (SEZ) with exclusive zones for light engineering, handicraft, gems and jewelry and apparel companies.

While Jaipur is recognized as the crafts capital of India with well-established handicrafts, textiles, furniture, gems and jewelry industries, it is also home to many companies in the segments of automotive, electronics and manufactured goods.
