Panalpina Goes Live on GT Nexus Logistics Portal

GT Nexus has announced that Panalpina has successfully rolled out a global transportation rate management hub on the former’s Trade and Logistics Portal. Delivered as a hosted service over the Web, the platform is the central repository for transportation contracts and rates representing over 1.2 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of containerized shipments that the latter is managing globally for its customers.

The platform supports all of the latter’s global ocean trade lanes, across all carriers that the latter works with. The entire platform is provided on-demand over the Internet. Panalpina did not need to buy and install any software, and the platform was up and running in about eight weeks.
