Panalpina Appoints Global Head of Panprojects

Chris Kent has been appointed as the global head of Panprojects, a wholly-owned Panalpina subsidiary. He succeeds Heinz Zech who decided to pursue new professional challenges outside of the Panalpina Group.

Kent joined Panalpina in 2002 and has successfully managed Panprojects UK as divisional director. Panprojects is in the international industrial project business with around 300 specialists at 37 strategic locations around the world. It is part of the worldwide logistics and transportation network of the Panalpina Group.

In his function as divisional director Panprojects UK and head of Panprojects Northwest Europe, he was a member of the Global Panprojects Management and Steering Committee. Before joining Panalpina in 2002, he held several high-ranking management positions, among them in the UK, Middle East and US.

“I am pleased that we could recruit an internal personality for this key position, proving the strength of the Panalpina workforce”, explained CEO Monika Ribar. “Although we are already among the market leaders in the global project business, we still see a lot of potential for profitable growth in this sector and will therefore continue to invest in Panprojects’ vigour and know-how”, she added.
