MiTAC Selects Paragon for Supply-Chain Optimization

Paragon Management Systems has been selected by PC manufacturer, the MiTAC Group, as the latter’s supply-chain optimization partner. The partnership will enable MiTAC to perform planning with the up-to-date information, and then execute the plan in real time across multiple facilities.

"Paragon’s ERP-friendly approach, based on its certified integration with QAD Applications and Oracle Applications, will leverage our existing execution systems and our investment in IT resources," said Francis Tsai, president of MiTAC.

A key advantage is Paragon’s single touch point to transaction and ERP systems, resulting in scalable integration and significantly lower total cost of ownership.

The Paragon applications suite includes the global strategic planner, supply chain planner, material and capacity planner, scheduler, and web-based agents for procurement, supplier communication, and monitoring of shop floor events.

"By the end of this year, MiTAC’s deployment will allow the synchronizing of its plants, suppliers, and customers across three continents," said Hoon Chung, Paragon’s president of Asia Pacific operations.
