Menlo Opens Export Facility in US
Menlo Worldwide Logistics has created an export logistics center for Caterpillar with the opening of a dedicated Midwest-area export logistics center in Joliet, Ill. Initial activities will occupy 202,000 square feet of the 350,000 square feet building, allowing for future expansion.
"As soon as we started talking with Caterpillar, it was apparent that there is strong cultural and business alignment between our companies," said Robert Bianco Jr, president, Menlo Worldwide Logistics. "We share a commitment to Lean principles, and our core values are very similar. We know we can provide the speed, cost and quality they want."
Under the relationship, Menlo will provide export consolidation services including receiving, export packaging and loading/shipping.
