Kuehne + Nagel Australia Receives OHSAS Certifications

Kuehne + Nagel Australia has received OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14000:2004 certifications for all its operations and business units. In addition, the company has been successfully recertified in accordance with the latest quality management standard ISO 9001:2008.

The conformity to these internationally recognised standards underlines Kuehne + Nagel’s commitment to the integrated management of quality, safety, health and environment.

Audited by Bureau Veritas, OHSAS 18001:2007 certification confirms Kuehne + Nagel’s compliance to the health and safety management systems, which cover a wide spectrum of social sustainability objectives from internal and external communication to emergency plans, risk management as well as preventive measures.

The ISO 14000:2004 certification is granted to Kuehne + Nagel for its dedication to offering environmentally sound, sustainable and innovative supply chain solutions that have a continually reduced impact on the environment.

The company has implemented a global environment policy, under which an effective carbon management programme has been introduced to set annual emissions reduction targets and focus on minimising natural resource consumption.

“We have consistently benchmarked our management systems and practices to ensure they are in line with best-in-class standards,” said Jens Pohlmann, managing director of Kuehne + Nagel. “Providing quality services to our customers and ensuring their satisfaction is the ultimate objective of Kuehne + Nagel.”
