INTERMEC STRENGTHENS PRESENCE IN MALAYSIA

Intermec Technologies has announced that its local Malaysian operations are being upgraded, expanded and moved into new premises in Selangor state. The facility in Petaling Jaya reflects an ongoing drive to offer world-best supply chain technology within Malaysia and provide signifi cant benefi ts to resellers, partners and clients in the region, says Intermec.

Intermec’s GM, VP for the APAC region, Jansen Ek, said: “Malaysia is a growing market for Intermec, reflective of the ASEAN region as a whole. In order to ensure that Malaysian businesses continue to have access to leading global supply chain technologies, it was important for our company to expand our operations in the country.”

The facility will provide a base for sales functional staff , presales technical support as well as service support managers, with the aim of giving Intermec resellers and clients increased support and reduce the amount of waiting time and shipping costs on requests and repairs.
