Intermec Awarded Logistics Contract by US Department of Defense
Intermec has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) Army Contracting Command for Automatic Identification Technology (AIT-IV contract).
Since 1988, Intermec has provided the DoD and Federal government agencies with AIT technologies for asset tracking, inventory control, automated warehousing, and depot and distribution management.
The AIT-IV contract life is for an initial term of three years, with an option for a total of six additional years of purchases. The contract provides for a contract ceiling of US$418,517,764, which is the aggregate of potential awards which may be issued to Intermec and other awardees.
The following Intermec solutions are included in the AIT-IV contract:
· CK3 and CN3 rugged mobile computers
· SR61 handheld barcode scanner
· PD42 commercial barcode printer
· PF8 desktop printer
· PM4i RFID printer
