DB Schenker Launches Dedicated IT Shared Services Center in China

Schenker (Asia Pacific) has officially opened its first IT Shared Services Centre (SSC) at the Jiangsu Software Park in Nanjing.

The SSC occupies more than 15,000 sq feet and will primarily pool IT-functions such as application development, maintenance, application operations,information and communication technology infrastructure and help desk, for the organization and several countries in the region.

The Euro 1.5 million (US$2 million) project investment for the SSC is expected to yield a project payback in less than three years through greater cost efficiencies and economies of scale.
