Choice Logistics will lend its expertise and insight to a panel at the 2009 Strategic Service Management Conference, Oct. 28-29, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Paul Malamet, executive VP of account services and business development, will lead a panel of industry leaders to discuss “Adjusting Mission-Critical Service Parts Logistics to Meet New Demands.”
“Mission-critical service parts logistics requires sophisticated processes and precise coordination for expedited requests, typically within four hours,” said Malamet. “Our forum will feature high-tech experts from international companies to detail the fundamental components for executing a successful service parts logistics program.”
The panel will explore the challenges of mission-critical service parts logistics support as demand for repair and maintenance increases in a global economy where corporate Information Technology (IT) spending has decreased.
Practical strategies will be discussed to help manufacturers, as well as service providers, optimize and streamline SLAs with a comprehensive global IT platform, real-time visibility and a scalable infrastructure.
Joining Malamet will be a distinguished panel of experts from global high-tech leaders, including: Elekta (medical equipment and technology), Hitachi Data Systems (data storage solutions) and Quantum Corporation (back-up, recovery archive specialists).
Participants:
Nigel Weston, VP Supply Chain Management, Elekta
Frans van Rijn, chief logistics officer, SVP, Global Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Hitachi Data Systems
Rich Sato, director of Service Logistics and Inventory, Quantum Corporation
