BDP Appoints MD For South Asia
BDP International (BDP) announced that Richard Strollo has been appointed to the position of managing director for South Asia.
BDP International (BDP) announced that Richard Strollo has been appointed to the position of managing director for South Asia.
BDP is one of the biggest privately owned logistics firms in the world, serving more than 4,000 customers globally. In his new role, Strollo will lead a team of more than 600 across six countries and will be the leader of BDP’s activities in one of its most dynamic and exciting regions. He has been a logistics professional for 18 years having commenced his career in the United States of America. For the last 15 years, he has worked in the Asia region including holding senior positions in Taiwan, The Philippines, Indonesia and South Korea.
His most recent position prior to joining BDP was managing director in the Philippines with DHL. His current responsibilities include the total operations and management of the business for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Australia.
Michael Andaloro, chief operating officer of BDP International said Strollo would help spearhead the company’s growth plans in South Asia. “BDP continues to grow its presence and its customer base in South Asia. As more trade occurs between Southern Hemisphere nations, the South Asia market will take on an even greater role in BDP’s portfolio. That’s why we are pleased to have an industry and regional expert like Richard Strollo join us to head up our South Asia team.”
Commenting on his appointment, Strollo said: “BDP has a unique culture within the transport and logistics industry.
