Axxom Forms Strategic Partnership With Australian Supply Chain Consultants

Australian supply chain consulting company GRA Pty Ltd and German technology provider Axxom Software AG have agreed on a strategic partnership.

GRA will use Axxom's ORion-PIR software in its consulting projects and also distribute the product suite. By the cooperation, GRA strengthens its consulting capabilities and Axxom extends its presence in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.

Considering the demand for supply chain optimization solutions in the Asia Pacific region, Australia and New Zealand, GRA will distribute, implement and provide local support for the Axxom product suite ORion-PIR. Furthermore, GRA will use this product suite to support its strategic supply chain consulting projects.

The agreement includes the whole Axxom product portfolio, but the initial focus is on ORion-PIR Value Network Optimization. This application is an integrated approach to analyze, design and optimize strategic network scenarios. It offers a holistic End-to-End optimization approach, which covers every relationship within the supply chain, from customer locations, production plants and distribution centers to suppliers, manufacturers and distributors. ORion-PIR also considers many constraints and restrictions, like transportation modes, capacities and CO2 emissions.

By the partnership Axxom continues to develop its international presence. The Munich-based company already works together with Australian Universities and had implemented ORion-PIR in diverse supply chain projects in Australia.
