Dimensioning Larger Packages in the Warehouse and Carrier Business

The CARGOSCAN CSN810 TableTop is a compact and robust workstation designed to capture the dimensions, weight and identification of an object. The system now has a new feature enabling it to measure larger packages than before.

Purchasers of the CARGOSCAN CSN810 will now have the option of a larger roller table on which to place packages for dimensioning and data capture. This offers the possibility to measure packages up to 1200 x 900 x 900 mm (47 x 35 x 35 in.) (LxWxH).

Two pilot installations have already been put into operation and with great success. In the UK, the system is being used in a large warehousing operation as a stand alone system to profile all incoming inventory with dimensions, weight and identification. The company, which records the dimensions of various sized goods, selected the CARGOSCAN CSN810 for its extra large measuring capabilities.

Ten such systems have also been employed by a French express parcel carrier. Installed on their manual processing line the CARGOSCAN CSN810 is used to measure approximately 300 – 800 parcels a day, ensuring that customers receive correct invoices based on both weight and dimensions.
