DHL’s New Asia Pacific Corporate Structure for Global Forwarding Business Unit

DHL recently announced that the Asia Pacific territory of its Global Forwarding business unit will now comprise of two distinct regions – North Asia Pacific and South Asia Pacific – to enhance customer service, accommodate future growth and focus more on distinct regional priorities. In recent years the Asia Pacific region has accounted for approximately 50% of the Global Forwarding unit’s total annual revenue and has continued to grow at a rapid pace.

Peter Landsiedel, formerly Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific region, has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer of DHL Global Forwarding and will operate from Bonn, Germany, while Victor Mok, the former Senior Vice President of Greater China, has been promoted to the unit’s top global airfreight position, also in Bonn, effective August 1, 2008.

Kelvin Leung, who has been with the company since 2002, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, North Asia Pacific, while Amadou Diallo, with a dozen years experience in DPWN, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, South Asia Pacific. They will be based in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively.
