FedEx Express Launches Overseas Vote Foundation for 2008 Presidential Election

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., announced its support of Express Your Vote, an initiative of the Overseas Vote Foundation (OVF), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to ensuring an estimated six million overseas Americans have the ability to effectively participate in the federal electoral process. With FedEx supporting this initiative, Americans living in 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, will be able to receive free express delivery of their absentee ballots between September 15-October 29 of the 2008 election year.

The Express Your Vote program will provide American voters abroad with the convenience of online shipping, track and trace capabilities, and proactive proof of delivery through the OVF Web site, which has been developed with the latest advanced automation solutions from FedEx.

In the Asia-Pacific region, the free vote delivery service will be available in Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
