HANDHELD FOR HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS

Targeted at workers in the chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, grain, textile and mining industries, the CK32IS handheld computer from Intermec comes with a particularly extensive list of global hazardous environmental ratings– including ATEX and IEC at launch, ULshortly after – with the aim that it can bedeployed anywhere in the world.
The CK32IS is ATEX-certified for use in Zone 0 (gases) and Zone 20 (dusts and fibers) environments– the highest possible safety ratings, requiring doublefaultprotection of circuitry. In addition, its productaccessories meet the latest associated apparatuscertifications.
The Windows Mobile 5.0-based handheld features a Intel Xscale PXA270 processor, and includes audio capabilities to enable interactive VoIP, walkie-talkie applications, and digital recording applications.
