Toyota Honors Ryder at Ceremony in Japan

Ryder System was presented with the 2007 Regional Contribution Award for its overall performance in providing Toyota with good logistics services in North and South America. The award was presented by Katsuaki Watanabe, President of Toyota Motor Corporation, at a ceremony during its recent Supplier Convention in Nagoya, Japan.

The Regional Contribution Award is one of Toyota's most prestigious supplier honors. Ryder was the only supplier in the Americas to receive the regional award for significantly contributing to Toyota's quality and success in both North and South America. In 1987, Toyota selected Ryder as its first North American logistics provider for the Georgetown, Kentucky plant. Today, Ryder provides logistics services for Toyota operations in California, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico.
