GPS BOOSTS LOCATION-BASED PRODUCTIVITY

Logistics Insight Asia, 1/5/2008

The MC70 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) from Motorola now comes in a GPS version to enable location-based productivity for field based employees, such as postal services, to track andmanage dynamic, real-time tasking.

The unit can verify specific locations of company activities and provide mobile workers with pinpoint navigation support to improve location-based productivity. A key element of the GPS facility is employee safety, particularly relevant for sole workers in jobs that may take them into dangerous situations off the beaten track.

Protected against a variety of environmental risks, including frequent drops to concrete, and exposure to water, dust and extreme temperatures, the lightweight MC70 is optimised for both indoor and outdoor applications.
