The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society
Logistics Insight Asia, 1/5/2008
Having been successfully launched more than three years ago, the 4th Annual Logistics Awards will be expanded to include the 120,000 plus Logisticiansbased in Singapore.
Unlike other awards, the sole focus of the Annual Logistics Awards is the recognition of talented individuals and professionals in our industry. To make the award even more relevant and widely recognized, the Society intends to invite the other Logistics and Supply Chain bodies in Singapore and the region to work together as coorganizers of this years awards.
Many of us talk about the benefits of collaboration in the Supply Chain. This is one way we can, as industry leaders, demonstrate how we can work together for the betterment of our profession.
In another industry first, the Society has entered into a partnership with Australian based, BrainCorp International, a leading Education and Training Directory listing over 5300 courses across all industries, job roles and countries. This strategic tie-up makes the Society’s award winning and internationally recognized Certificate and Diploma programs available to Logisticians globally.
The LSCMS Job Board on our website allows you to search for jobs and candidates from around the world. You can receive job alerts to your email inbox, receiving the latest job information as it is posted by employers. Employers can register for resume alerts, getting notified of new candidates as they register.
Supply chain and logistics jobs are the focus of this board, and registration is simple, allowing employers and job seekers to fi nd matches online! Members and fellow Logisticians are encouraged to log on to our website and make use of this excellent tool. The Society will hold an industry networking night on the 10th of July.
Logistics industry and International Rugby League referee, Stuart Dickenson will be at the event to talk about his views on the industry and the similarities between “highpressure” sports and supply chains.
It will be an excellent opportunity for Logisticians to get together in a relaxed and laid back environment. For more information on LSCMS activities, please visit our website at www.lscms.org or email Edmund Lee at elee@lscms.org.
