Jungheinrich’s 7 Ton Tractor

Logistics Insight Asia - New Products, 26/5/2008

Jungheinrich will launch a new tractor on the market in the summer of 2008. The EZS 570 is built at the Specials and Small Series Factory in the Lower Saxony Lüneburg and due to the well-tried Jungheinrich 3-phase AC technology it combines excellent performance data with high energy efficiency.

The new Jungheinrich tractor type EZS 570 is a versatile and economic truck. It can move trailers with an overall mass of up to seven tons. By coupling several trailers, it is also possible to vary the loading areas at random. The truck can be fitted with different couplings and is therefore adjustable to virtually any trailer type.

The coupling itself is visible to the operator from any position and is also easily accessible. With an optionally available semi-automatic remote uncoupling, the operator is able to couple and uncouple trailers without leaving the operator platform.

High energy efficiency thanks to Jungheinrich 3-phase AC technology

The new tractor EZS 570 is equipped with a powerful 48 Volt drive motor in Jungheinrich 3-phase AC technology. This in practical terms means powerful acceleration as well as high top speed. At the same time, the EZS 570 with its maintenance-free 3-phase AC motor saves a lot of energy. This results in a significantly prolonged operating time compared to trucks in the same performance class. This facilitates by features such as a very high operating ratio, efficient balancing between drive motor and drive control and regenerative braking. The latter feeds unused energy back into the battery.

The robust construction of the EZS 570 predestines it for the hardest applications. The chassis is made of 8 mm steel plate. An extra high drawn up chassis apron not only ensures the operator’s safety but is also an optical highlight of the new Jungheinrich tractor. LED rear lights and indicators round off the picture of the EZS 570.
