SCM LOGISTICS WORLD 2007

Now into its third year, September’s SCM Logistics World event, held at Suntec City in Singapore, attracted logistics and supply chain professionals from across Asia Pacific to hear about developmentsand trends in the sector.

As well as the two-day main conference program, an accompanying exhibition provided a platform for equipment, software and services providers to showcase latest offerings. And other events taking place in an action packed week included associated Reverse Logistics and Mail & Express conferences, an RFID Masterclass, and a special one-day leadership summit focused on supply chain issues in the pharmaceutical industry.

Some of the main themes discussed at this year’s conference included sustainable supply chains, network infrastructure planning, sourcing strategies, and supply chain transformation initiatives. Presenters were from both suppliers and end users, including DHL, Oracle, APL Logistics, SGS, Nike, Dr Reddy’s, and Colgate Palmolive.

Companies over in the exhibition hall literally covered the logistics spectrum from warehouse flooring to bar code scanning to supply chain software. A significant pool of 3PL and transportation players were also in attendance.
