NOL Annual Report Details a Year of Profitable Growth

NOL Group's 2007 Annual Report, which is being mailed to shareholders this week, looks back on the highlights of a year of profitable growth.

The 2007 Report showcases spectacular photography of the company's global activities, with a large number of employees featured in their workplaces – in warehouses, at company offices, at our terminals and at sea.

This year's cover theme "Move, Connect, Innovate" reflects a year of exciting progress in many areas across the NOL Group, including the establishment of a new terminals organization, the introduction of new services such as Ocean53, IndiaLinx and APL Guaranteed Continental, and sustained commitment to corporate social responsibility.

In his message to shareholders, NOL Chairman Cheng Wai Keung outlines the company's track record in delivering five years of consistent performance and says that the 2007 results "affirm NOL Group's record of consistent financial performance and reinforce our reputation as a global industry leader."
Group President and CEO Thomas Held details the strong outcomes achieved in the company's key focus areas – profitable growth, innovation, cost leadership and excellence in customer service.

Dr Held comments on the significant growth achieved in container volumes, success in securing higher average unit revenues and the rigorous, disciplined approach to business management adopted across the business.

For the first time, the Annual Report highlights the performance of the three major operating segments the company now reports through - Container Shipping, Terminals and Logistics - and sets out comparative data detailing the performance of the three business units over 2006 and 2007.
Shareholders have also been sent a Notice of Annual General Meeting and related documents for the company's AGM, which is scheduled to be held in Singapore on Wednesday 16 April 2008.
