DACHSER Workforce Increases from 15,000 to 17,100 in 2007

EUR 3.5 billion worth of turnover, corresponding to 13% growth.

DACHSER has continued the positive development it has notched up in recent years. In fiscal 2007, the international logistics provider increased its turnover from EUR 3.1 billion to EUR 3.5 billion. Today, 17,100 employees work for the Germany based company at 297 locations around the world – of which 550 staff in 15 locations in Greater China.

DACHSER offers a combination of full-coverage transport networks and contract logistics. In 2007 the logistics provider transported 39.1 million consignments weighing a total 25.8 million tonnes. The tonnage shipped by the company was thus 24% higher than it had been in 2006. Simon was particularly pleased to report the persistently positive development in the number of employees. At the end of 2007, DACHSER employed a total of 17,100 staff, of which 9,500 work in the company’s home country,
Germany. That number is 800 higher than it was last year.
