Dr Clemens Kolbe becomes Dematic head

Logistics Insight Asia, 1/1/2008

Dr Clemens Kolbe has succeeded Johann Löttner as President and CEO of intralogistics solutions supplier Dematic. With a doctorate in economics from the University of Hamburg, Kolbe has held managerial and CEO positions at ThyssenKrupp and the Schindler Group. Under his direction, his business units achieved “considerable growth inboth sales and profits”.

Dr Kolbe follows in the footsteps of Johann Löttner, who is credited with returning Dematic to the profit zone and creating a base for further strategic expansion.

“The next step is to drive strategic growth,” says Johann Löttner. “In Dr Kolbe, Dematic has a proven expert who will tread the same path. I am convinced that with him, the company will continue onward and upward.”
