Westcon Group Intros CollaborationPoint to US Resellers, Offering 90-Day Interest Free Financing to New Qualified Registrants through February

Westcon Group builds on strength of polycom portfolio to create single source for customers seeking advanced VoIP and video conferencing solutions.

Westcon Group, Inc., a leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, announced the launch of CollaborationPoint, a targeted program designed to help resellers succeed in the VoIP videoconferencing and collaboration market. CollaborationPoint is the latest addition to Westcon Group’s technology focused x-Point programs and will be offered alongside ConvergencePoint and SecurityPoint.

To coincide with the launch of CollaborationPoint, Westcon Group North America is offering special 90-day interest free financing on all products, installations and services sold through the end of February, 2008. To qualify for the 90-day terms, registration on the CollaborationPoint portal is required and the reseller must be credit qualified by Westcon (http://us.collaborationpoint.westcon.com).

CollaborationPoint was made possible in part by Westcon acquiring the assets of ReView video last year. The program features Polycom as a foundation vendor and is similar to Westcon Group’s other solution programs in that it shares a common web 2.0 compatible infrastructure (GWSI2) and provides resellers with selling and configuration tools, authoritative market analysis and up-to-date product information aimed at increasing reseller profitability. Resellers participating in multiple programs can seamlessly navigate among programs using a single sign on feature.

In conjunction with CollaborationPoint, Westcon Group now offers its North American customers the entire line of Polycom collaboration solutions including its ubiquitous SoundStation conference phones, SoundPoint IP VoIP desktop phones, UltimateHD video collaboration systems as well as its telepresence portfolio including the RPX HD (RealPresence Experience) and TPX HD (Telepresence Experience).
