Procera Networks Names Industry Veteran James F. Brear as New President and CEO

Procera Networks, a pioneering developer of network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, announced the appointment of James F. Brear, an industry veteran with more than 18 years of experience in the networking industry, as President and CEO. Brear joins Procera Networks to further the company's position as the leader in managing and monetizing the world's most complex networks.

Through his career, Brear has gained a wealth of knowledge working with the leading service providers, government agencies and enterprises around the world. Brear has a proven track record in identifying emerging markets and industries, and the technologies needed to support their rapid growth.

Most recently, Brear served as vice president of worldwide sales and support for Bivio Networks, a maker of deep packet inspection platform technology. Under his leadership, the company rapidly expanded its worldwide sales presence, resulting in sales to a number of global Tier 1 service providers -- and government agencies, as well as four large OEM customers.
