UPS Makes It Easier for Customers to Utilize LTL Freight Tools

UPS has expanded its Developer Kit, formerly known as OnLine Tools, to include less-than-truckload (LTL) services, package drop-off locator capabilities and street-level address validation.

The kit is a suite of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that are available to customers who want to integrate UPS technology directly into their business systems, including customer-facing web sites, to improve efficiency and customer service. Customers use these APIs to generate more than four billion transactions a year.

The APIs enable LTL rating, LTL shipping, LTL and package pick-up scheduling, street-level address validation and the UPS Locator, which allows customers to find the nearest UPS drop-off location. The APIs are ideal for customers with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Web Services technical
