As a stand-alone Smart Printer, the PX4i from Intermec eliminates the use of the PC by controlling devices such as scanners, scales and applicators directly, thereby improving efficiency, decreasing infrastructure costs and complexity, and enabling quick ROI.

The rugged, all-metal PX4i incorporates Intermec SmartSystems and Wavelink Avalanche device management and diagnostic capabilities that reduce downtime and simplify deployment. The printer can perform precision labeling in 203, 300 or even 406 dpi resolution without any compromise in speed, says Intermec.

With modular design and flexible, all-in-one programming languages (Fingerprint, IPL, ZSim, DSim), the PX4i facilitates integration into automated labeling applications and harmonizes in mixed printer environments.

Multiple interfaces, secure wireless connectivity (WPA2), CCX and WiFi certification, plus support for emerging network protocol IPv6 facilitates integration and long-term enterprise scalability.
