Datalogic Pegaso Mobile Computer with Expanded RAM, Bluetooth

Datalogic Mobile, a global player in the Rugged Mobile Computer market, announces the availability of the Datalogic Pegaso mobile computer with Bluetooth communications and 128 MB of RAM. Pegaso, a PDA style mobile computer, is said to be one of the most rugged PDAs in its class with a durable overmold, IP64 sealing, and construction that withstands multiple drops to concrete from five feet (1.5 meters).

According to John Allen, Product Manager for Datalogic Mobile, Bluetooth is the ideal solution for connecting to printers or cordless scanners without awkward cables that restrict movement or get snagged. In addition to Bluetooth, the new Pegaso models will include 128 MB RAM for running large or multiple applications simultaneously. Pegaso can be configured with or without 802.11 wireless communications.

Also announced is the immediate availability for Pegaso accessories including: Four Slot Dock, Ethernet Module, Modem Module, Holster, and multiple cables such as cigarette adapter, USB cable, and DEX cable.
