Oracle announces the availability of Oracle Transportation Management 6.0 software, which targets the streamlining of transportation planning, execution, financial settlement, visibility and business process automation across multiple modes of transportation, to enable businesses to reduce costs, improve customer service, and supporting sustainability objectives.

Significantly, with this latest release, Oracle delivers Oracle Fleet Management, which claims to be the industry’s first combined shipment and asset-centric transportation solution that enables companies to manage private fleet and common carrier networks on a single platform for increased asset utilization, lower transportation costs and reduced environmental impact.

Oracle Transportation Management 6.0 provides extended transportation sourcing and business intelligence capabilities within the same, single platform. The solution also features expanded functionality for planning, execution and financial settlement.
