GAC Thailand Seals Deal with JewelsAgent.com

GAC Thailand has signed a three-year deal with jewelry exporter JewelsAgent.com. By proposing a package that includes Free Zone warehousing and services at Lad Krabang, Thailand, GAC has enabled the latter to achieve a 20 percent cost reduction (of total product cost).

Inside the Free Zone, JewelsAgent.com will be able to assemble and pack their goods while being exempted from all import duties and VAT. This service requires license approvals from the Industrial Estate of Thailand as well as the Thai Customs.

Erez Agmoni, GAC Thailand’s Business Development Manager said, “The client was keen to cut costs so they could reduce the prices of their finished product. However, competition was fierce on cargo rates, so we came up with a solution by taking advantage of the benefits of Free Zone operations.”

Under the agreement, GAC’s responsibilities include handling twice weekly shipments to the US, air import/export duties, customs clearance, as well as warehouse rental and management.
